Responsibilities

* Prepare, present, and testifies on behalf of the District before state and local governments.

* Plan work to be accomplished by technical and professional staff by set goals and adjust short-term priorities, prepare schedules for completion of work in alignment with mission requirements.

* Manage defined schedules within the scope of various projects for customers.

* Develop, coordinate, and manage project management plans.

* Review and approve funding and manpower estimates to ensure there are sufficient resources to support project objectives.

* Analyze project and contract schedules and performance to identify critical activities, sequences, and timelines.

* Plan, estimate, budget and monitor costs to ensure projects are completed within approved budget.

* Define stakeholder needs and constraints keeping within approved budget.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Preparation, approval, and updating of project management plans; analyze, review and recommend action of civil works, military, or environmental programming and reprogramming activities; and management of project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service grade level GS-12 (or equivalent).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
