Job Description:

The incumbent is responsible to paint and rebuild wrecked trucks, hoods, and fiberglass body parts for units as needed.


One year certificate from college or technical school; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 12 to 18 months management experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

o Rebuild and paint wrecked trucks as assigned.

o Attend safety meetings.

o Assist other employees in the shop as needed.

o Provide in-house training as needed.

o Participate in maintaining the cleanliness and paint of the facility.

o Prepare paperwork documenting daily work performed.

o Maintain respirator log.

o Operate wrecker to move trucks into shop to be repaired.

o Provide equipment repair as needed for shop/employees.

o Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
