What you'll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity working on a large Wunderman Thompson client account. We are looking for an exceptional and talented person who will want to show how reporting and analytics can have a positive impact on understanding customer behaviour and developing the right marketing strategies. This is a brand new role.

Embedded at our client's office, the CRM Insight Analyst has direct data access to report on the UK CRM Programme and translate findings into actionable insights. The CRM Insight Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a new reporting suite and for designing analytical methodologies and then delivering the analytical outputs. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Senior Data Strategist to ensure all output delivers impact and value to the Shell UK Clients. Initially data will be accessed using SQL Server but will move to Databricks (Sparklyr) later in the year.

  • You'll be responsible and own the delivery of CRM/Campaign reporting and Insights for the loyalty programme
  • Ownership of all results
  • Designing, developing and implementing a new reporting suite
  • Delivering customer-centric analysis and insights to understand the impact CRM has on customer behaviour and how customer behaviour varies across different cohorts
  • Conducting analytical deep dives to further understand UK market trends and marketing activity, making recommendations in order to optimise ROI
  • Build segmentations and predictive models to help Shell understand customer interaction and which customers to target
  • Be the client's trusted advisor on all things analytics by making it easy for them to make business decisions by putting the customer at the centre of everything we do
  • Presenting frequently to clients and attend client meetings, embedded on site in the client's office
  • Working with wider Wunderman Thompson teams to ensure smooth delivery of analytical tasks

Please note, this is initially a fixed term contract until the end of December 2020.

Who you are:

  • You might have a university degree in a numerate discipline
  • Experience in a data and analytics function
  • Experience of SQL and Excel VBA
  • Perhaps some experience in data visualisation/dash-boarding software Power BI/ Alteryx
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; making the complex simple for internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of advanced data analysis techniques that include customer segmentation, predictive modelling, multivariate analysis, querying and reporting tools, A/B testing and statistical significance
  • Experience of devising, implementing and managing reporting dashboard design, update and automation
  • High level Microsoft Word, Excel and PPT skills
