$16-18 (based on experience) + Benefit eligible

Smarte Carte, Inc. is the leading concessionaire of self-serve vended luggage carts, electronic lockers, commercial strollers and massage chairs, as well as other passenger and guest services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Maintain communication and cooperation with other employees and facility management.
  • Greet inbound international travelers and encourage the use of a luggage cart to maximize their travelling experience.
  • Perform with minimal supervision and assist in the development of associates assigned in their zone.
  • Maintain the appropriate amount of carts in the assigned area by efficiently balancing carts.
  • Notify shift supervisors when the supply of carts drops below acceptable levels. 
  • Move carts both manually and mechanically through the use of both ropes and mechanized equipment.  Carts should constantly be optimized to allow for ease of distribution to passengers.
  • Advise shift supervisor of disabled or unacceptable carts and move to designated area
  • Practice and demonstrate safe work habits, providing an example to other employees
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Mechanized equipment training manual and field certification
  • Badging clearance and identification, roping procedures, incident reporting

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Bilingual preferred, but not required
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate mechanized equipment to move carts throughout the airport.
  • 6 months successful customer service with some supervisory experience strongly preferred.

 

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift 70 lbs. to waist height.
  • Walk and stand for duration of shift.
