Requisition Number: 27688 Job Title: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST III Working Title: IT Support Analyst Salary: $5,234 - $10,358 monthly Job Type: Contract Department Name: 4803-OFFICE TECHNOLOGY CENTER Department Website URL: Job Summary Statement: Under general direction of the Assistant Director of Office Technology Center (OTC), incumbent serves as staff expert on technical troubleshooting for the most difficult customer problems. Provide day-to-day advanced consultation, training, instruction and troubleshooting / problem-solving to technical staff and divisional wide end users for hardware, software, network and related computer systems, handheld, peripheral devices. Install, troubleshoot, track, document and upgrade departmental hardware and software as assigned. Create and maintain the windows desktop images, establish and maintain Active Directory security groups and computer and email accounts. Centrally deploy applications and maintain system and application patches for hundreds of PCs at a time, configure machines, install vendor and third-party software. Maintain multiple computing labs. Provide on-site, telephone, and email support. Assist in systems administration to departments as assigned. Document and maintain software licenses and hardware inventory. Assist in the implementation of standards and procedures to ensure computer security and compliance with UCLA and Student Affairs Policy. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Required

Expert knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows,OS X)

Required

Install, troubleshoot, track, document and upgrade hardware and software applications.

Required

Install and configure local and network based printers.

Required

Basic knowledge of Internet protocols including TCP/IP and related protocols in a switched Ethernet environment.

Required

Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise wide patch management software to report and remediate OS and application security vulnerabilities.

Required

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems including advanced imaging (MDT) and deployment technique.

Required

Working knowledge of projectors and related audiovisual devices including wireless media streamers.

Required

Detailed knowledge of and experience with backup/recovery, patch management, and anti-virus software.

Required

In-depth and demonstrated working knowledge to diagnose, upgrade and replace computer hardware.

Required

Detailed knowledge of enterprise level deployment toolkits for remote installation of operating systems and software for both Windows and Mac OS.

Required

Working knowledge of mobile platforms, iOS and Android.

Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, find appropriate solutions, and follow through to completion.

Ability to write grammatically correct, accurate and well-organized documentation and training materials.
