Strategic Account Director

The Strategic Account Director role will focus on supporting strategic global accounts within our sales team and developing new strategic business, including business partners, local and global, to gain net new logos. This individual will manage the overall client relationship and satisfaction, develop the global account strategy, and drive revenue growth across SDL's translation services and technology portfolio. This includes identifying and prioritizing client objectives and new business opportunities, and developing account plans to achieve specific strategic and revenue goals within the assigned account base.

This individual will have significant responsibility and the charter to work across, up, and down our organization to grow our business. We are looking for a strong player with the capacity to promote a vision, make it viable, and compel colleagues and customers to join in that journey.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the overall relationship by maintaining strong relationships with existing key contacts and developing new relationships through the account while manage SDL's multiple organizations to effectively drive the business in a timely manner

* Maintain a current and deep understanding of our solutions. Regularly speak with key influencers and contacts at assigned clients to identify their specific, ongoing business needs, and mapping those to SDL solutions.

* Develop and maintain a plan with each customer for change management, growth, and adoption programs, partnering with internal support teams as needed.

* Develop business partner strategy, negotiate the partner contract and enable the partners to contribute to SDL revenues growth.

* Ensure customer retention by conducting regular check-in calls for tactical items, performing periodic health checks (internal and external), and lead strategic business reviews both quarterly and annual.

* Collaborate effectively with Product and Engineering teams to ensure accurate information about product roadmaps and offerings is proactively shared with these accounts, and to ensure effective tracking of client-driven feature enhancement requests and bugs.

* Function as the voice of the customer, providing internal feedback on how we can better serve our customers; collaborate with Operations / delivery as needed to ensure internal communication and collaboration focused on the customer.

* Act as customer advocate and key intermediary in escalation situations.

* Assume full accountability for each relationship and client satisfaction; coordinate internal support and management resources as appropriate.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus

* 5+ years' experience selling localization/translation services

* Excellent networking skills

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to present and sell SDL Global Solutions

* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form

* Dynamic, enthusiastic and charismatic personality with polished presentation skills

* Ability to travel as needed

* Ability to work remotely with appropriate home office environment

* Proficient with MS Office suite
