Wildfire Mitigation (WMP) and PSPS are the drivers for this request. These two positions will support all critical work for PSPS and mandated work stemming from WMP Phase 1, as well as WMP Phase 2 Multi-language Compliance requiring all communications and content to be translated to 19 different languages before / during / after a wildfire situation. Position #1: Marketing Communication Advisor. Job functions / duties as follows: Project management for the execution of Wildfire/PSPS initiatives and accuracy of translation work scope Engage Marketing and Digital Agency resources for all content, design, technical consultation, solution development with IT, and implementation needs Review of all sce.com wildfire and PSPS pages to ensure compliance with language requirements Support senior lead on the following Wildfire/PSPS internal cross-functional meetings and planning: Weekly WMP/PSPS activity & support review meeting Weekly Wildfire Reputation and
Communications Mgmt Weekly WM Stakeholder Engagement Meeting-- Organized by Grid Resiliency/Public Safety PMO Monthly WMP Phase II Workstream monthly meeting Support management of budget tracking and reporting Assist with Wildfire/PSPS content/asset collection and approvals according to newly established repository and publishing process for translated content Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with language mandates Secondary SME for interpretation, implementation, and compliance with language mandates
Support to operationalize Multilanguage Communication Resource Repository (MCRR) and Multi-language Communication Resource Library (MCRL) processes and procedures including the establishment of a governance structure (process owners, roles/responsibilities, etc) Position #2: Senior Specialist. Job functions / duties as follows: Serve as the primary point of contact to community- and faith-based organizations (CBOs) as conduits of reach to critical audience segments, particularly those associated with the WMP Phase 2 Multi-Language Compliance requirement. Manage the day-to-day relationship and management of the 40 new CBOs (Tier 1) that participate in payfor-performance for WMP / PSPS Administration of the contracts with Tier 1 CBOs. Track Tier 1 CBO performance and facilitation of quarterly financial incentives. Provide orientation webinars to all CBOs and provide on-going educational presentations and roadshows. Maintain frequent contact through site visits, emails and telephone calls to keep SCE and this initiative top of mind with CBOs and their constituents. Develop turn-key tools such as talking points, social media posts and collateral items to optimize the channel. Liaise with internal stakeholders through weekly, monthly and ad hoc meetings.
Position #1: Marketing Communication Advisor Currently we distributed WMP / PSPS work among a few team members, and transitioned some of their work to temporary contract workers. This approach while it partially worked for temporary load-balancing, created silod execution and potential disjointed experiences. Heading into 2021 we will be setting up a teaming structure (aka tiger team) that comprised of a sr lead (Vinnie) who will provide strategic leadership on all WMP/PSPS initiatives as well as manage external interactions (ex. IOUs), and this CW will support the senior lead on all the executions and translations of communications and content for WMP/PSPS/Reliability needs.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Typically possesses three to five years of experience in managing large scale projects and use of associated management tools and techniques. Demonstrated ability to develop requirements, adhere to schedules, develop and execute project plans, meet deadlines, operate under tight time constraints. Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas and information to different audiences and levels.
