A Day in the Life

The National Hepatology Commercial Market Development Manager - WEST works cross functionally closely with the field sales organization and marketing to increase the adoption of The Medtronic Heptobiliary Product offering by developing and executing strategic field activities involving customer education, training, product messaging, and product adoption.

What is the work you will be doing?

Works closely with the field sales organization to help drive the Medtronic GIS Heptobiliary portfolio of products and future technologies within this space in pre-determined geographic markets

Facilitate Peer To Peer functions with customers, specifically creating Center of Excellence training events (COE) and all other Events In A Box (EIAB) programs

Coordinate with Region Manager (RM) and Territory Manager (TM) to perform routine field rides where strategically important. Develop a strategy to elevate the competency levels of the RM and TM

Grow and develop Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationship network

Drive and organize support plan for regional tradeshows and hands-on courses

Implement quarterly QRP plans to achieve/exceed sales and marketing objectives

Manage new product development initiatives including but not limited to prototype feedback, customer surveys, etc.

Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Share with Commercial Market Development team and field sales organization when appropriate

Work with sales, marketing, and training departments to ensure activities are in line with overall business goals

Do you have these experiences or skills?

* Experience Calling on Interventional Radiology and Hepatobiliary Surgeons preferred

* Operating Room and Interventional Radiology Experience Preferred

* Experience in developing new innovative markets, paradigm shifting, and/or consultative selling

* Experience selling value and differentiation to customers

* Solid job skills in business planning/consulting with multiple cross-functional contacts

* Experience working with marketing tools and programs to increase product awareness

* Experience running Peer to Peer programs to drive product adoption

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field

Minimum 5 years of sales experience in Medical Device or other regulated healthcare industry

Experienced working with gastrointestinal physicians is preferred

Demonstrated ability to establish strong customer relationships

Current relationships Interventional Radiologist or ….SURGEON TYPE a plus
