Kitchen Manager

Cinemark is looking for a Kitchen Manager to help run our busy kitchen located in the restaurant within our theatre. Our Kitchen Managers are the heart of our restaurant operations. As the leaders of the kitchen, Kitchen Managers are the culinary experts who keep our kitchens in pristine operating conditions. You get to help select and motivate an elite group of back of house employees, and manage the costs to ensure the overall financial success of the operations. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the Kitchen Manager will effectively and efficiently assist in running a busy, high-volume kitchen. The Kitchen Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Oversee kitchen in multi-faceted Restaurant/Entertainment scene.

* Monitor food safety for handling and preparation according to guidelines

* Conduct regular line checks, monitor stock levels and manage inventory to ensure recipe adherence

* Schedule and appoint tasks and responsibilities to kitchen staff

* Cleanliness & maintenance of the kitchen - ensures equipment is clean daily, supplies stored properly, etc.

* Ensures efficient kitchen timing especially during peak hours to assure smooth seat side service.

* Have a friendly, engaging management style that our Guests and employees would enjoy!

* Be able to communicate to your team in a way that inspires FUN!

* Create a well maintained, safe, secure, and sanitary environment for all Cinemark Guests and team members


* 2-3 years of supervisory kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant ($4 million or more)

* Bilingual English/ Spanish

* Able to work ten hour+ shifts and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time

* Able to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs as needed

* Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery, knives, etc.

* Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also to distinguish product, taste, texture, temperature, presentation and preparation.

* Understands how to safely handle kitchen equipment, how to maintain supplied and equipment, etc.

* Must have a current ServSafe and Alcohol Certification if applicable in your state of applying.
