We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Director, Business Development & Key Account Management – Life Sciences, Healthcare & Chemicals Sector, Americas MNC

General Summary:

The Life Sciences, Healthcare and Chemicals sector is one of DGF's largest customer segments.With the bulk of decision making sitting in the Americas, this role is a critical role for our commercial growth and success.Further, significant growth is forecast in Latin American markets which this role must drive. Additionally, this role executes DGF's global sector strategy on regional level (as aligned with country and global sector structure). This position manages relationships with our largest customers (as the customer point of contact on a regional and global level).

Specific Responsibilities:

* Manages the development of profitable revenue growth through developing and maintaining existing MNC (Multi-National Customer) customers through proactive & strategic thinking.

* Build & maintain strategic & operational customer relationship in your region (and globally)

* Work directly with the DHL Global Forwarding Americas sub-regions and countries to ensure we are maximizing our growth potential

* Directly supports our Customer Relationship Managers and Key Account Managers in Country to create 'business fit' and respond to customers' RFI, RFQ and Tenders for business development

* Visit customers directly, and spends at least half of his/her time in front of customers, building strategic relationships

* Delivers the regional and/or country customer budget and growth targets by maintaining a healthy pipeline, good contractual performance and proactive thinking

* Prepare global customer strategies & CAPs and communicate internally

* Conduct yearly / quarterly business reviews and cultivate strategic relationship with customers

* Ensures that activities are aligned with global/regional/country sector strategy

* Works on regional customer initiatives and implements global customer business plan

Skills & Qualifications:

* Building customer relationships

* Selling and influencing skills

* Commercial negotiation management

* Matrix management

* Strategic thinking

* Experience in the Life Sciences, Healthcare and/or Chemical industry required

* Educated to Degree Level (MBA or equivalent business degree preferred but not required)

* Fluent English language, other language skills an advantage

* 5 - 7 years logistics industry experience preferred

* Good communication and presentation skills, ideally selling experience in competitive markets
