CA Disaster Team, Communications Coordinator - Los Angeles

The California AmeriCorps Disaster Team is an AmeriCorps service opportunity sponsored by the American Red Cross and CaliforniaVolunteers. The Disaster Team has the unique opportunity to work on all sides of the recovery process by supporting both the Red Cross and our partner organizations, such as Cal OES, FEMA, etc. Members will serve in a full-time capacity (approximately 40 hours per week) to meet the requirement of 1,700 service hours throughout the 10.5-month term. Members will receive a bi-weekly stipend of $652.17, health and dental coverage, and childcare assistance to those that qualify. Upon successful completion of the program, members will receive an Education Award of $5,920 to use towards qualified student loans, or future tuition, and will qualify for student loan forbearance during the period of service.
