Accounting Associate

We are currently seeking an Accounting Associate to join our West Region Finance Team in Downtown Los Angeles. Responsibilities:

* Participate in month end close, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

* Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines.

* Assist with the preparation of monthly financial decks for regional business line.

* Maintain Accounts Receivables and other Balance Sheet accounts providing monthly commentary for unresolved items.

* Ad hoc requests as needed.

* Provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications/Key Competencies:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

* 1 - 2 years experience in accounting/finance related role.

* Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (e.g. Debits & Credits, Balance Sheet, Income Statement) including technical skills.

* Strong organizational and analytical skills.

* Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion (preferred).

* Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

* Ability to:

* Work effectively in a team environment.

* Work independently and meet deadlines.

* Communicate effectively across all levels.

* Be flexible in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

* Work with confidential/sensitive information.

* Work overtime if needed.

* Must be a self-starter and proactive with a desire to learn and ask questions.

* Be coachable.
