In this senior position, you will work closely with EY leadership to develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy to support the growth agenda of EY AMM.
EY AM&M drives $5.2 Billion of the firmâs annual revenue, making it the 2nd largest Industry Market Group in EY, and employs over 43,000 people globally. By 2025, our goal is to achieve $10 Billion in annual revenue. AMM is a hugely dynamic portfolio ranging from Automotive to Manufacturing to Chemicals to Aerospace and Defense - most of which have been seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic enabling anyone who is working in this team to see how a number of substantial industries are transforming to be fit for the future.
Global Industry is intensifying its focus on developing solutions which are relevant for specific industries. The marketing function is refining its focus to reflect that, ensuring that EY goes to market with a differentiated positioning to a strategic buying audience and with a strong focus on revenue development through accounts.
The AMM BMC leader owns the development of key messages to drive differentiated brand awareness, internal engagement, external coverage and end-to-end marketing across markets focusing on driving the Industriesâ key solutions to support pipeline.
Strong leadership skills are a must, combined with the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships with multiple, and senior, stakeholders, working effectively in a complex matrix, global organization. This candidate also needs substantial experience in leading global or international marketing teams successfully.
A natural storyteller with a passion for innovation utilising new ideas and technology to enable impactful audience-centric communications and operational effectiveness, e.g. marketing automation, robotics, AI.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will be leading the strategy and managing the execution of the AMM marketing plan globally and ideally draw on your industry experience to give weight and context to your decisions. Youâll be working with your colleagues across the globe both within the business and the marketing team to drive change and adapt AMM marketing to support the AMM revenue priorities so your strong leadership and influencing skills will be drawn on. Youâll be the key marketing advisor on the Industry Market Board, taking direction from the Industry Market (IM) leader and the Industry Markets BMC leader and working closely with the Industry Market Strategy & Operations Leader as well as other IM BMC leaders across the broader team. Youâll be a very strong and inspirational team leader and need to assess and adjust the direction of your team to focus on core industry solutions and manage any change or talent management that that might entail. Youâll be the marketing ambassador for your Industry Market within the broader global BMC team to be able to help steer direction and ensure that key AMM messages and content are embraced in global BMC activity capitalising on that central investment.

To qualify for the role you must have
â¢ Minimum 15 yearsâ experience in brand, communications and B2B marketing roles in a world-class global organization, with at least five years at a senior management level within one of the AMM industries at a global or international level.
â¢ Management of diverse, geographically broad teams.
â¢ Deep and current expertise in brand, communications, go-to-market and digital marketing, and ability to convey this expertise to support others to progress.
â¢ Operational and business knowledge sufficient to contribute at a senior board level â including understanding of P&L, balance sheet, etc.
â¢ Global travel and flexible working, including out of hours when a major crisis or issue emerges.
Ideally, youâll also have
â¢ Product marketing and portfolio management
â¢ An understanding of EYâs business as one of the worldâs âBig Fourâ professional services firms and experience in professional services or a B2B marketing environment is essential, while experience of working in an agency would be beneficial.
â¢ Knowledge of the sectors in AM&M â chemicals, IP Manufacturing, A&D, automotive and transportation.
