This position reports to the Vice President, Cloud Systems Engineering and is a part of the Cloud Systems Engineering leadership staff. This Sr. Director-Chief of Staff role will work closely with the VP-Engineering and his staff to plan and directs all administrative, financial, engineering and operational activities for the organization.

Further, this position organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the leadership staff to facilitate efficient decision-making. Acts as a point of contact between top management, customers and other stakeholders. Provides oversight, management and guidance to high priority projects. Will act as an advisor to the VP-Engineering.

Responsibilities

* Manages the EC department.

* Works with the VP-Engineering to develop major goals to support broad functional objectives.

* Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.

* Work with the VP to establish his strategic priorities, reviewing every three months to reassess and adjust as necessary.

* Responsible for managing the strategic planning process across Cloud Systems.

* Be a central point of contact for the coordination of the VP activities and ensure preparation of relevant documents and briefing material.

* Establish excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.

* Develop a good understanding of current issues and be able to provide timely advice to the VP.

* Manage the budget for the VP.

* Facilitate the development, coordination, communication, and accomplishment of VP's short and long-term business strategies.

* Support the definition and delivery of an effective and sustained internal communication plan which drives organizational alignment and shared consciousness.

* Help bring to the surface issues and ensure that they are considered, appropriate action is taken, and the results are communicated throughout the organization in a timely manner.

* Coordinate and take accountability for strategic presentations to upper management and external constituents, be responsible for working cross-functionally determining appropriate content, messaging and presentation.

* Actively participate in and/or lead various forums/meetings enabling adapting, consolidating, drafting and/or preparing presentations for quarterly meetings and other commitments for VP.

* Lead special projects, tied to business objectives, as assigned with strong emphasis on facilitation, collaboration, analysis and recommendations.

* Recommend, lead, and/or implement process improvement initiatives to continue driving quality improvement, efficiency, cost reduction throughout the organization.

* Support the executive in driving and measuring progress against strategic priorities.

* Analyze data of metrics to provide insight and recommendations to improve organizations accountability to profitability and margin.

Requirements:

* Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.

* Overall accountability for strategic projects that are designed to deliver results.

* Requires balancing and influencing multiple competing priorities and individuals and is responsible for the central coordination of all activities of the office.

* Ability to provide leadership and direction for change management initiatives, budget and financial planning, project management, and program development on behalf of the VP.

* Has the ability to oversee all ongoing projects supporting the VP's agenda to ensure that all are moving according to plan objectives and established milestones and measurement criteria.

* Requires 8+ years of technical managerial experience with significant experience in a customer facing technical role.
