Intern-Program Management (5391)

Tower International, Inc. is seeking to hire a Program Management Intern for our Program Team.

The candidate will also interact with Tower's regional Program team. The Intern will develop an understanding of the different process used by Program Management.

An opportunity to work on projects under the supervision of an assigned staff member. Interns are empowered with assignments that provide them with experience and significant opportunities for learning. A list of the duties the interns may be asked to perform:

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of Program Management functions.

Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of programs, systems and procedures.

Participates in reviewing and recommending improvements in processes, policies and procedures.

Assist in tracking and analyzing metrics related to Program performance.

Must be computer literate, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Required Skills:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree

* Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

* Available to work up to 30 hours

* Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

* Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications

* Ability to perform assigned tasks and complete work on schedule with minimal supervision.

* Ability to logically think through a problem and come up with logical solutions to improve processes/work required.

* Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment including our manufacturing facilities.

* Interest in the automotive industry and manufacturing.

* Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to prioritize responsibilities.

* Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.

* Support the Company's mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Duties include but are not limited to: stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk, and hear. May be required to travel. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration and hazardous materials.
