Sr Analyst-Access

OverallResponsibility:

The Senior Analyst, Reporting and Analysis servesas the department's day to day contact for complex, ad-hoc and recurring datarequests related to Interconnect Expense. This person also plays an active rolein the month end close process, assisting accounting with variance analysis todetermine the business drivers behind the monthly change in cost, and providingmonth-end reports.

Key areas of Responsibility:

* Supports the Invoice Receipt/Quality, InvoiceProcessing, and Process/Project Management teams.

* Participatesin cross-functional special projects that require expense information andanalysis.

* Reviewsdaily reports for changes in cost or coding, and accuracy of reporting, andreports any unusual findings.

* Interfaces with the Company's Line Cost systemservice provider to update, add to, or modify information and reports asnecessary to meet data and reporting information requests.

* Assistswith updating the provisioning inventory to support the G/L coding process.

* Worksclosely with Accounting team to assist with the reconciliation of accruals vs.actuals, and providing specific month-end accrual reports.

* Providesconstant constructive communication within the team to facilitate and fostercontinuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

* Experiencein the telecommunications industry, preferably in the areas of financialanalysis, network planning, provisioning, or engineering.

* Highproficiency in the use of MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skillsrequired.

* Strongresearch and analytical skills required.

* Excellentwritten and verbal communications skills required.

* Ability to work in and adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Ability to respond to multiple concurrent assignments with a high level of accuracy.

* Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities with little supervision, yet work well in a team-oriented culture.

* Knowledgeof Business Objects reporting software and SQL preferred.

* Understandingof accounting processes and procedures preferred.

* Varianceanalysis experience preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 1 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7 years professional level related experience with 1 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
