Contact Lens Asst/Optical Assistant Split

This is a split position where the associate will act as a liaison between between our customers and professional staff to provide maximum efficiency in accordance with standard operating procedures. Additionally associate will assist the Optometrist in the wear, fitting, and care of contact lenses and related items. Associate will work in either role depending on business needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Super-Serve and Always Exceed the Customer’s Expectations. Customer satisfaction is the focus of every task performed, by every associate.

* Provide Support for the location to facilitate the Greeting and offering of assistance and information to our customers through the execution of the SERVE sales process.

* Courteously greet and accurately instruct customers on contact lens product information and use

* Utilize sales techniques to ensure the sale of continuing eye care plan, sunglasses, solutions, spare pairs of lenses/glasses, etc.

* Provide customers with accurate information regarding appointment scheduling and followup visits, glasses or contacts preparation, any insurance and/or third party benefit inquiries either in person or by telephone

* Maintain accurate and consistent consignment of all lenses (daily wear, frequent replacement lenses, color enchances, opaque, etc.). Track inventory, sales, new stock, and any transfers or returns

* Responsible for the maintenance of the Contact Lens Room including the planograms (merchandising) and sundry (solution) items by keeping shelves and displays stocked. Track expiration dates of all lenses and solution. Assure that the Contact Lens Room is always clean and organized

* Adhe re to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e. HIPAA)

* Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements as specified within your departmental goals. This is in addition to, the completion of any activities necessary for the maintenance of professional affiliations or organizational requirements

* As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned

Education, Experience & Background:

* High School Diploma or GED preferred

* Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience in Retail, Sales or Customer Service

* Customer Service Experience Preferred

* Optical Knowledge is helpful
