Job Summary

Job Summary

* TRAVEL: This position requires extensive travel; approximately 25% of time will be spent traveling to other MNARNG facilities throughout the state, including Army Aviation Support Facilities, Training and Community Centers, and Armories. Government vehicle will be provided for travel.

This position supports the administration of the Minnesota National Guard's Distance Learning Network (DLN) system and Video Operations Center (VOC). Assigned duties include execution of DLN maintenance, upgrades and infrastructure improvement; supporting training of regional DLN & VOC staff; usage and control of Video Teleconference (VTC) systems; providing recommendations for the formulation of policies and procedures for those systems. Serving as a local expert in logistics and planning for VTC systems, to include traditional and emerging technologies (VTC via PC). Assist with the execution of adding new telecommunications, data, and video conferencing technologies and systems into the Minnesota National Guard DLN & VOC.


Minimum Qualifications:

1) At least two years advanced administrative support, paraprofessional, or technical experience in customer service arena;


2) Associates Degree in related field and 1 year advanced administrative support, paraprofessional, or technical experience


3) Bachelor's degree or higher in job related field

* Advanced level proficiency in communications, customer service and security knowledge and skills.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software sufficient to prepare documents, presentations, and reports.

* Oral and Written communication skills are imperative.

* Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

* Must possess and maintain a valid state class D driver's license (basic driver's license).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of computers, telecommunications, WAN/LAN, and VTC equipment capabilities and ability to work with multiple platforms and applications sufficient to perform equipment hardware and software set-up and resolve end-user issues.

* Knowledge of trouble-shooting techniques sufficient to diagnose and resolve IT problems.

* Demonstrated ongoing IT professional development and ability to become 8570.01M compliant. Note: CompTIA Security+ is the most common 8570.01M certification.
