The Engineer shall be able to develop construction plans including electrical layout and details and construction specifications. Design requirements will include all types of building and airfield lighting, power and electrical systems. The selected candidate will work with the current Senior Electrical staff and will be given the opportunity to pursue their PE registration. The successful candidate will have experience with the design of transportation electrical systems. They will work in multi-disciplinary, collaborative project design teams with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and other building systems engineers.

• Design electrical equipment and lighting systems for transportation

• Prepare electrical designs, specifications, and construction documents

• Work collaboratively with other interfacing multi-disciplinary team members

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 0 to 3 years of related experience required for this position
• Experience in building or airfield electrical design preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with government, client, and industry local codes, regulations, and standards governing design and construction projects
• Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Availability to occasionally travel to project locations

Other preferred skills include:

• Revit experience

• LEED Certification (LEED GA, LEED AP, etc.)

• Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria
