Inspector A - Lead

Job Description

Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (Monday - Friday)

This position will be responsible to assure compliance of assembled product to Molex and customer specifications as well as lead the PT Quality Employees. You will also provide Quality support to all Upland Assembly Employees.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

* Submissions: New setups, end of runs, and in-process resubmits as required by the Inspection plan and other related documents.

* In-process Inspection as required by the Inspection plan & other related documents.

* Document dimensional, visual, gauging, and functional inspection results as required by the Inspection plan & other related documents.

* Terminate production if product does not meet quality standards as required by the Inspection plan & other related documents.

* Verify & contain suspect or non-conforming product/components from the production floor and warehouse as needed.

* Use IQN process for non-conforming or suspect product/components.

* Communicated & assist with production and/or mechanics clearly and with all detailed understanding of the quality problem or defect.

* Follow all Work Instruction and D-Pros as assigned.

* Enter Confirmations/Scrap in SAP and/or other SFC system.

* Verify and maintain count accuracy of product stock both in SAP and physically.

* Responsible for the notification, review, and understanding of either changes needing to be made to inspection plan or changes that have already been made to inspection plant or part print.

* Operate, maintain, and understand all inspection equipment.

* Collect data and record process capability, gage potential studies, and SPC as needed.

* Lead and support PT quality staff according to MBM principles.

* Write and conduct PT Quality Staff Reviews according to MBM principles.

* Develop and maintain a ZERO Safety Incident & Zero Defects Culture at Molex according to MBM principles.

* Communicate any improvements or ideas.

* Train new employees.

Position Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma / GED

* 2 years of quality inspection experience

* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook

* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associates Degree in a technical field related to quality

* 5 years of quality inspection experience

* Knowledge of SPC and GD & T Principles

* Experience reading blueprints

Other Skills & Abilities:

* Good communication (oral & written)

* Ability to work in a team environment
