Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions
Under general supervision of Business Administrator (Public Service Administrator), performs a variety of complex accounting duties including the posting of financial documents and account information to the accounting systems. Maintains all personnel time and attendance records; calculates and records all benefit time, overtime, shift differential, roll call and dock time per pay; provides timekeeping informational assistance to employees; audits daily sign-in sheets; prepares bi-monthly payroll reports.
Minimum Requirements: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and completion of an approved training course or three years of related clerical bookkeeping experience; requires working knowledge of accounting techniques; requires working knowledge of state or non-state account procedures; requires working knowledge of office methods and procedures; requires working knowledge of principles and functions of standard office account machines and equipment; requires the ability to apply established account techniques. Requires the ability to pass an Illinois Department of Corrections background check.
Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact: Anticipated Starting Salary: $3,275/month; $39,300 /year
Current bargaining unit employees - Contractual Language applies.
Full bargaining unit range: $39,300/year - $56,148/year
WORK HOURS: 7:00a.m - 3:00p.m. Monday through Friday with Saturday/Sunday off.
