Maintenance Engineer - Facilities (Luxor)

The Maintenance Engineer performs routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems within the facilities and to accomplish all functional duties.

* Performs routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the property.

* Recognizes equipment that needs repairs, adjustments, or replacement.

* Responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management.

* Maintains equipment and logbooks.

* Ensures that all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times.

* Keeps informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods.

* Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.

* Advises Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the Luxor Property.

* Performs assigned duties during emergencies.

* Performs all other related duties as requested.

Required:

* At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a hotel or industrial complex property.

* Ability to effectively communicate, both in person and over the phone when dealing with management, employees, and guests.

* Working knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment.

* Working knowledge of mathematical skills such as; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

* Perception and awareness of the Hotel's maintenance goals and policies.

* Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
