It is the primary responsibility of Learning & Development Specialist to perform a variety of duties to support the effective function of MGM Resorts University by assisting in the enhancement, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of New Hire orientation, team updates, guest service training, on-boarding, secondary language training and other course offerings as assigned.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

* Arrange, support and facilitate University programs including Corporate and property new hire orientation and other initiatives as needed.

* Administer and maintain accurate rosters, attendance records, acknowledgment forms and other required documentation and tracking in the learning management system.

* Support and assist the Learning Partner as needed.

* Partner with Senior Learning Partner and Learning Partner to plan and deliver training programs and initiatives.

* Maintain training facilities to include material inventory and ordering, room set-up, break-down and equipment preparation.

* Assist with department logistics and operations to ensure proper flow of client services and staff support.

* Local travel to all Las Vegas property and corporate locations for set up, take down and logistical needs.

* Engage in self-directed work on a daily basis; set timetables for project completion, manage resources, prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.

* Perform other job related duties as requested.

Required:

* At least 4 years of relevant experience.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

* Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree or CPLP.

* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
