This restaurant concept is part of the Park MGM. Park MGM is a new concept by MGM and New York City based Sydell Group, conceived to target a more discerning, well-traveled demographic seeking unique experiences and innovative design. Park MGM will appeal to this growing audience's desire to be more social, connected and culturally aware.

This specific restaurant concept will be located off of the main lobby and will interact with the redesigned pool experience. It will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a culinary focus on homemade classics and vegetable forward dishes. The venue will be activated throughout the day and will flex with hotel arrivals, T-Mobile Arena events, Park Theater events, and our convention calendar.

It is the primary responsibility of the Host Person to greet guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner while ensuring his/her outlet is clean, organized, and properly stocked at all times. The Host Person is to assist the Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners as it relates to guest contact and table information. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures, as well as Park MGM Brand Standard.

* Demonstrate SHOW basics for Guest Satisfaction.

* Has complete knowledge of all products and specifications.

* Oversee daily restaurant reservations, pre-assigning seating where necessary.

* Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests – responsible for conveying all such information to management.

* Knows and uses the service guidelines outlined in this manual.

* Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant.

* Greets guests promptly as they enter the restaurant, making a positive first impression. Greets guests warmly with a smile and making eye contact.

* Uses the guest's name at all times. Knows and acknowledges all VIPs by name.

* Promotes the company's high level of service standards by exhibiting friendliness, knowledge of the restaurant and attentiveness to guests' needs.

* Answers phones, keeps accurate count of reservations and handles reservation book.

* Collects and stores menus. Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the menus.

* Ensures that all menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent changes. Replaces all menus in poor condition after making sure that replacements are available.

* Communicates the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management. Informs management of guests' reactions and comments. Assists management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service.

* Maintains an ample supply of menus.

* Has complete knowledge of the floor plan, table numbers and stations.

* Monitors which tables are in use, available, and about to turnover. Is immediately aware when tables are reset and ready for guests. Checks for completeness of table settings.

* Frequently checks back with guests who are waiting to be seated. Makes it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them.

* Assists server by answering any questions guests may have regarding the restaurant.

* Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

* When a guest is leaving, always thank them and use their name.

* Shut down podium and forward phones to voice-loop at end of shift.

* Maintains a neat and orderly host area. Constantly ensures that the entrance to the restaurant is clean.

* Operates as a member of the team, helping others and requesting help as needed.

* Performs other restaurant side duties as requested by management.

* Follows and executes the MGM Resorts, Primrose and PARK MGM service standards as outlined in training.

* Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required.

* Performs other job related duties as requested.


* At least 1 year of experience as a host person in a high-volume environment.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


* At least 2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant as a Food Runner or Server.

* Experience with Open Table system.

* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
