JOB SUMMARY:

The primaryresponsibility of the Food Server is to provide prompt, courteous service tohotel patrons and ensure the guests receive a pleasurable dining experience.

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:

* Acknowledge customer immediately with a smile.

* Inform guests of any specials and have a fullunderstanding the menu to answer any questions.

* Take beverage order and serve in a timelymanner.

* Full understanding of the beverage menu toanswer

* Ensure food order is correct before serving tothe guests.

* Monitor tables closely and be attentive toguests' needs.

* Clear empty plates and glasses from tables.

* Clearing and scraping all dishes in the sidestations after clearing a table.

* Prepare sections and side stations, i.e., makesure tables are cleaned and set properly.

* Prepare silverware neatly and quickly at table.Clean area when finished preparing.

* Make sure all areas are clean and free ofdebris.

* Settle Guest checks.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (knowledge, skills,and abilities)

* Extensive Knowledge of food and beverage products.

* Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.

* Ability to operate point of sales systems.

* Ability to read, write, and understand English.

* Ability to communicate effectively and establish andmaintain effective working relationships with guests, staff and management.

* Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policiesand procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels and otherinstructions.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

* Ability towork from a standing position for extended periods of time.

* Ability toperform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly.

* Fast paced, high volume environment involvingconstant public.

* Requires ability to carry beverage trays.

* Ability to carry plates without a tray.

* Requires standing, walking, and lifting aminimum of 20lbs repeatedly.

* Shifts may vary based on business needs.

* Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in aprofessional manner.

* Must be able to tolerate secondary tobaccosmoke.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Work requires 6 months previous food serverexperience.

* Must be at least 21 years of age.

* Work requires effective communication inEnglish, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.

* Must present a neat and professional appearance.

* Work requires interactions with customers,public and co-workers.

* Work requires teamwork with other staff members.

* Relevant Experience in high quality, high volumeoperation preferred.

EDUCATION:

High Schooleducation or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:

Food SafetyTeam Member Training required.
