It is the primary responsibility of the Baggage Handler to provide courteous and complete services to ensure guests' luggage is received, stored, and retrieved efficiently and without incident. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and property policies, practices, and procedures.

* Provide excellent service consistent with the property's core service standards and brand attributes.

* Greet guests upon arrival in an enthusiastic and courteous manner.

* Unload guests' luggage from vehicles.

* Issue luggage tickets and store guests' luggage.

* Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or the time of day.

* Be knowledgeable of Hotel information to answer guest inquiries. Knowledge of the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

* Maintain courteous interaction with Front Services staff to include management.

* Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment; greet fellow employees and orient new employees to the department.

* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

* Report all accidents and/or incidents immediately to supervisor and/or security.

* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

* Support and follow company policies, legal requirements, and guidelines of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

* Perform all other job related duties as requested.


* At least 6 months of guest service experience, preferred in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

* Ability to:

* Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

* Follow directions thoroughly.

* Understand guest service needs.

* Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

* Work with minimal supervision.

* Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

* Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
