It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Pool Manager to possess the technical, supervisory and interpersonal skills and abilities to assess, communicate, manage and support development of all pool requirements and employees consistent with Bellagio commitment to quality service and integrity. Aggressively uphold standards for safety, five-diamond service and cleanliness.

* Oversees all Lifeguards, Leads, Cabana hosts, Receptionists, Pool Attendants, Public Area, Cocktail and Beverage staffing Retail operation service levels.

* Responsible for the hiring, training, and accountability of all employees facilitating the pool operation on a daily basis.

* Responsible for the overall safety of guests in the pool area. Facilitates and maintains consistent pool safety programs, training and documentation.

* Maintains the five-diamond standard with regards to employee training and guest interaction.

* Monitors overall guest satisfaction on the pool decks with regards to entertainment experience and overall enjoyment levels.

* Ensures that hotel policy and procedures are fully understood and followed.

* Ensures ongoing training and staff development.

* Works effectively with pool support departments such as PAD, Beverage, Laundry and Linen, Convention Services, Catering, Pool Café, In-Room Dining, and Security.

* Proficiency in inventory purchasing software, hotel reservation system, point of sale computer , customer relations management software, human resources software, employment hiring software, and Microsoft Office.

* Maintain weekly schedule for staff, maintain monthly FTE's.

* Review payroll in order to track employee hours.

* Performs all other job related duties as requested.


* At least 2 years of pool operations experience.

* At least 2 years of customer service experience.

* Excellent customer services skills.

* Ability to lead and mentor a team.

* Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Work varied shifts; including weekends and holidays.

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
