It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Restaurant Manager Relief – Food and Beverage Admin is to manage the restaurant operation during shift, supervise service staff, conduct necessary training and provide the best service to the guests and patrons. This position will also cover vacations and PTO. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

* Oversees daily floor operations.

* Manages and monitors fiscal budget.

* Check on all reservations and special guest needs.

* Reviews Workday, attendance log, flex and payroll issues.

* Assists in training employee's and monitors employee morale.

* Responds to any guest complaints and takes appropriate action.

* Manage POS pricing/maintenance issues to ensure checks can be processed correctly.

* Interacts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining experience.

* Ensure positive guest relations and satisfaction by anticipating needs, responding promptly, and resolving all complaints.

* Prepare weekly work schedules and floor plans in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts, adjusting schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands.

* Conducts daily ordering, takes care of maintenance and security issues and scheduling, ensures distribution of all information to the staff and follows up with new rules and procedures.

* Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure the property's competitive position and in anticipation of changing guest needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.

* Manages Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company's diversity commitment; adherence to the company's status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.

* Performs all other job-related duties as requested.


* At least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in a casino environment.

* At least 2 years of college education in a related field and/or equivalent work experience in Food and Beverage.

* Excellent customer skills.

* Able to lead and mentor a team.

* Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both in written and oral form.


* Working knowledge of Culinary Union bargaining agreement.

* Previous experience in scheduling and staffing.

* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
