DGC International is seeking to fill a Transition Manager position.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Review of basic and detailed engineering design related to all aspects of the project.

  • Work directly with Project team in all activities of Engineering, Procurement & Construction.

  • Reviews Electrical installation works such as Switchgear, Transformers, lighting and grounding system.

  • Critically monitor erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning activities, and to suggest appropriate and timely corrective action for achieving of project objectives and targets.

  • Site inspections / supervision related to road, T-wall or electrical works.

  • Review of material specifications and approval of electrical equipment, instruments and devices.

  • Review and approval of, Site Acceptance Tests procedures, Testing & Commissioning procedures, O&M Manuals, Contractors inspection and test plan.

  • Preparation of Method statement / work instructions as per specification and project requirement.

  • Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.

  • Reviews and assesses quality control plans of individual work deliverables.

  • Reviews/audits program status reports prior to delivery.

  • Maintains consistent level of quality and other metrics, and supports quality metrics definition, measurement, and analysis.

  • Maintains the program-wide QC Plan that is tailored for use at the task level, ensures compliance, and establishes quality-training requirements.

  • Attend weekly & monthly progress and design coordination meetings to track the project progress and resolve open items related to the design & execution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to manage the interfaces with key stake holders and intra disciplines management interfaces with Civil, Structural & Electrical.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering

  • Verifiable experience working OCONUS USACE construction projects, particular experience in Pakistan preferred

  • 10 years of construction management experience at the program/project

    management level

  • Expertise in USACE RMS/QCS System (see below)

    • US Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) construction contracts require that the use of the computer-based Resident Management System (RMS) be used for all Contractor quality control functions. The Quality Control System (QCS) is the Contractor’s Quality Control module of the Government’s RMS program and was developed to assist the contractor in providing contract-required data to the Corps of Engineers. By taking advantage of the monitoring and reporting capabilities of this program, the Contractor can perform quality control activities consistent with the requirements of a Corps of Engineers contract. It is a user-friendly comprehensive system for the efficient and effective management of Corps construction contracts.
