Manager Partner Communications and Engagement

Summary of Job:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Partner Communications and Engagement, this role is essential to a newly-created Partner Communications and Engagement team as it executes a strategic communications plan for 2U’s more than 70 top-tier University Partners. The role will manage and provide support for multiple communications projects and deliverables, campaigns, and events to meet our goals to: strengthen and deepen University Partner relationships through thoughtful communication; equip 2U’s University Partnerships team to effectively engage University Partners; and empower University Partnerships executives as 2U thought leaders. 

Key Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Support Senior Director, Partner Communications and Engagement, in all aspects of the development and execution of 2U's strategic communications and engagement plan for University Partners.

  • Serve as an advisor to University Partnerships team on communications needs and as primary lead on crisis response for pressing University Partner issues. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with marketing, communications, public relations, and other stakeholders across 2U's University Partner portfolio in order to inform communications strategy.

  • Manage the development of program-focused content and partner-facing collateral for use across 2U’s owned channels, including program announcements, newsletters, blog posts, and other communications materials. 

  • Support the planning and execution of meetings, calls, webinars, and special events for University Partner stakeholders.  

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree a plus

  • 5+ years in in-house or agency communications, university experience a strong plus

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously for a small, start-up function

  • Great attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate with 2U executives/C-Suite

Working Conditions 

Job requires some work outside of normal business hours for pressing or timely matters.
