Technical Sales Cable Industry


Implement strategic objectives for the business activity Automation & Drives within the region. Determine and execute development paths for accounts, products and applications. Manage a set of key accounts while actively striving to identify and win new major accounts in the Cable Industry.


* Responsible to meet established sales objectives in the region together with local/global team

* Identify and realize market potentials in the Cable Industry segment:

* Manage existing accounts, develop and deliver on new growth opportunities

* Identify new target accounts and come up with strategies and measures to gain access to those accounts

* Achieve significant growth in sales across a variety of accounts covering all major product groups

* Maintain close coordination with Head of Sales for BU Automation and Drives as well as European headquarters on progress within territory

* Establish target/budget figures for directly managed key accounts and continuously report progress on an account level

Basic and Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience

* Minimum three to five years of local, relevant market expertise, preferably in wire & cable within Automation Drive arena

* Strong focus on the North American interconnection market, i.e. cable, connector, assembly

* Proven track record in growing the business in a certain region or for a certain product/division

* Technical Cable Knowledge (design and electrical parameters as well as material, etc.)

* Structured problem solving capabilities self-motivated and organized personality focused on accomplishing objectives as well as ability to manage assigned budgets

* Experience in working within global enterprises, across multiple cultures would be preferred

* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills; familiar with common IT-software (MS-office, SAP, etc.)
