Sr. Director, ARDx Integrated Marketing

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Abbott Rapid Diagnostic division (ARDx), as you will drive the positioning for the entire division, you will tell the story of ARDx and our global evolution.

In this very unique role you'll drive the 'bus of change', collaborating across the entire ARDx group. You will build solid partnerships

with our business Unit heads and act as an advisor in all aspects of integrated marketing for the group. A very exciting part of this role

This position entails the following general tasks:
Provides marketing leadership for Abbott's Rapid Diagnostics division and centralized marketing support for the five business units in the division.
Build and increase visibility and awareness of the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics and our strategic products
Drive brand guidance and adherence for the Division
Leverage efficiencies via centralized shared marketing services for packaging and labelling, digital marketing and event marketing
Raise standards of marketing by facilitating best marketing practices and training for principles of marketing
Provide access to quality approved marketing materials, overseeing enterprise and systems in the Marketing Operations space
Oversee Alere's Digital Marketing, Marketing Technologies, Global Events and Business Intelligence teams.

This job function has accountability for complying with the applicable elements of the Global Quality Framework and the Corporate Quality Management System (QMS).


Manages performance of staff towards department and Divisional goals, including feedback on performance, appraisals, recommendations for merit increases or necessary disciplinary actions, communication to employees on performance, etc.
Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Alere Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Division Brand Leader
Central point person for ARDx division for branding efforts
Member or naming committee for rebranding, helping core team to guide overall rebranding process
Central driver for renaming project and brand governance for Division

Global Event Management
Offer central event management for global, international and North America trade shows and congresses
Oversee overarching creative style and visual direction for Global Events
Sources external resources and partner vendors
Ensures projects are completed within budget and on schedule
Pack and Label and Document Control
Update and execute Alere and contract manufactured products packaging design for key North American sites
Process document control of Alere product collateral materials for the purpose of commercializing and marketing products for North America, with intention to scale up in scope across other regions.
Global Web and Digital Marketing
Lead Abbott Rapid Diagnostics and Abbott Point of Care digital presence and strategy.

Manage Abbott Rapid Diagnostics and Point of Care digital properties globally
Partner and be a center of excellence for web marketing programs, digital marketing strategy, content marketing, SEO email and PPC.
Offer Analytics & performance optimization for in scope web properties.
Own and maintain Enterprise CMS System.
Business Intelligence
Gather and communicate market intelligence through global external secondary data assessment, internal sales analysis and competitive share performance at the ARDx Divisional level.
Need to ensure that division management is informed on global, regional or country level market dynamics including market growth rates, market sizing, industry trends, market share performance and identify the key competencies of our key diagnostic competitors.
Drive routine and regular coordinated business updates across 5 ARDx Business Units - Infectious Disease Developed, Infectious Disease Emerging, Cardiometabolic Informatics, Toxicology and Consumer Services and Products.
Leverage efficiencies across Business Units for any primary or secondary market research needs, becoming the single source for holistic data view across Division

Business or communications or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
10+ years Marketing and/or Marketing Communications experience
