Per diem - day shift

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Minimum of two (2) years experience as a secretary utilizing word processing systems and software, and familiarity with general office procedures

* Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.

* General knowledge of office procedures.

* Effective interpersonal and customer relations skills through both phone and face-to-face contact.

* Intermediate computer skills.

* Ability to prioritize and do multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

* Knowledge of medical insurance, billing, and collections guidelines/ criteria.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Previous hospital experience and insurance/ billing experience

* Further college, clerical, medical terminology and/or computer certification or training

* Secretarial/ clerical experience in medical field with insurance pre-authorization, billing, admitting and charge entry


The Financial Service Representative II will perform secretarial, clerical, billing, insurance pre-authorization and admitting & charge entry duties. Good interpersonal and customer relations skills required for frequent communication with MD offices, insurance companies, staff and cardiac patients and their family.

Cardiac Rehab department is committed to the health promotion of Cardiac patients by providing quality care and education in a positive environment. We offer education classes for Cardiac patients after discharge and two outpatient exercise programs. One which helps patients improve cardiac conditioning after a cardiac event and a maintenance program. The Service Financial Rep works closely with Lead RN and clinicians and is an integral part of the smooth operation of this program.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit for 6-7 hours at a desk, be able to key in at computer terminal for up to 4 hours at a time, lift 10-20 pounds and carry short distances, be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Able to perform CPR.
