What You Will Do

As a Director of Facilities Management with Ascension Senior Living, you will have the opportunity to direct operations of the maintenance and facilities department to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements and objectives of the organization.
  • Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares budgets and ensures compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensures departmental compliance.
  • Provides support to and solicits input from other directors, leaders, administrators, and physicians. Encourages and establishes a forum for quality improvement discussions, design, and implementation of ideas at all levels.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certification specializing in Healthcare Facilities.
  • Engineer.

Education:

  • Diploma
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
