Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

This exciting new position functions in a team environment within its headquartered office (in WDA 9) and is responsible for the coordination of vocational rehabilitation services for DVR consumers; collaboration with and education of DVR stakeholders; program and/or project coordination; and other specialization of tasks related to program development and implementation.

The position also provides oversight and monitoring of programs funded and administered by DVR to ensure compliance, efficiency and effective services to people with disabilities as required by federal and state law and contract requirements.

Frequent travel within the WDA and occasional statewide travel is required.

Qualifications:

Minimally qualified candidates will have experience performing tasks related to the following:

* Providing case management services, including coordinating services with multiple entities.

* Presenting information (re: programming/procedures, answering routine questions, etc.) to stakeholders (e.g., customers, consumers, businesses, service providers, etc.).

* Performing administrative tasks (e.g., documenting information; completing forms/reports; inputting, tracking, and retrieving data; create purchase orders, route invoices, etc.), including the use of office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar).

* Organizing and prioritizing tasks to successfully manage a workload.

* Communicating and relating interpersonally with others to maintain effective working relationships.

Well-Qualified candidates will also have experience performing tasks related to the following:

* Managing projects or portions of projects (i.e., project management that includes tasks such as gathering business requirements, creating timelines, assigning tasks, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, etc.).

* Providing technical assistance and/or training others on complex topics such as guidelines, regulations, laws, etc.

* Administering financial procedures (e.g., processing payments, researching cost comparisons, resolving payment disputes, etc.).

* Working with persons with disabilities and/or related education.

* Resolving problems.
