IT Procurement Manager

The IT Procurement Manager is responsible for all IT category spending nationally, including purchasing, inventory management, supplier selection, logistics and customer satisfaction. This position requires cross department collaboration with counterparts, senior leadership and support teams. Responsibilities also include management of technology hardware, software and services buyers.

Essential Functions

* Establish and manage relationships with internal business partners, suppliers, technology leadership and executive stakeholders.

* Drive best total cost of ownership for the organization through sourcing and strategic negotiations.

* Mitigate corporate risk through contract negotiations and supply chain oversight/availability.

* Develop and maintain key performance indicators on cost savings, deliverability, effectiveness and operational efficiency.

* Operate as initial escalation contact point for all suppliers and primary operational point of contact for strategic suppliers.

* Evaluate and select standard software, hardware and services suppliers based upon business needs: pricing, solutions, scalability and effectiveness.

* Collaborate with technology leadership in evaluation of key strategic partnerships.

* Complete and publish quarterly vendor scorecards.

* Oversee approval process of technology purchases through Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders.

* Manage inventory stock levels and resupply rules of technology software and hardware across emergency, backup and primary stocking warehouses.

* Provide management of disposal vendor agreements and investment recovery for technology assets.

* Administer product lifecycles for technology commodity products, including software, hardware, media, peripheral, cabling and services.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and as necessary to accomplish goals related to projects, end of quarter, and end of year.


Less than 5% travel is expected this position.

Required Education and Experience

* Bachelors in Business Management or Supply Chain

* 5+ years of progressive Procurement experience

* 3+ years of IT Procurement experience

* 2+ years of management experience

Preferred Education and Experience


* 7+ years of supply chain experience including strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory management, and logistics experience

* 5+ years of IT Procurement experience

* 3+ years of management experience

* CPSM Certification
