Responsibilities

Issues and receives a variety of recreation equipment to authorized personnel, and assists patrons with questions and appropriate selections. Advises patrons in safe boating and camping techniques and administers a safe boating test to patrons as applicable. In the absence of the Campground/RV Host, accepts reservations and prepares contracts for picnic and cabana areas. Escorts guests to their assigned space and explains facilities available. Maintains registration log of all guests, collects fees and issues receipts for space rented. Maintains records and prepares reports pertaining to the operation. Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks by clearing, landscaping, cutting grass, edging and etc., servicing equipment before use. Picks up debris, empties all trash receptacles daily. Maintains restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Cleans mirrors and water fountains. Reports any maintenance problems, material deficiencies and unsafe conditions or discrepancies that cannot be repaired in-house to the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Must have sufficient knowledge and experience to rent and maintain a large selection of recreation equipment including: camping and boating equipment, picnic equipment, and other recreational equipment. Must possess basic math skills and the ability to run a cash register and prepare cash documentation. Knowledge of basic cleaning and janitorial techniques and procedures as well as the ability to work with basic equipment, materials and supplies used in maintaining facilities in a clean, sanitary state.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AND POSSESS A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT.
