Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem

Hours: This position will primarily provide coverage Saturday and Sunday (4 hour shifts each day). This position will be on-call Saturday and Sunday, outside any scheduled hours. This position will also provide coverage for holidays and vacations.

As a per diem, nonexempt, Staff Pharmacist with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at Signature Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas City, you will provide support for clinical programs and practices at both hospital location in Kansas City and Liberty, MO, as well as fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

About the Facility: Signature Psychiatric Hospital, has two locations, one in Kansas City and Liberty MO. Both are Joint Commission accredited and licensed for 36 beds, with an average daily census of 34 patients. This facility provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral, mental health services for adult and geriatric patients . The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services has partnered with Signature Hospital to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy; with all pharmacy staff being employed by CPS.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Degree - Bachelors or Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Missouri Pharmacist licensure that is currently active and in good standing
  • At least 1 year of recent inpatient Pharmacist experience
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff
