Physician Confirmation Consultant

Job Description

Obtains prescriptions from physicians for new unit dose customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Calls doctor offices to obtain unit dose prescriptions for new and reactivated customers.

2) Obtains faxed prescriptions that can be used for billing purposes.

3) Obtains other documentation that may be required for the medication.

4) Discusses products with physicians, nurses and customers.

5) Educates physicians and nurses on nebulizer machines and medications.

6) Maintains an acceptable level of prescription approvals.

7) Performs data entry of customer prescription information into database.

8) Faxes prescription requests to physician offices.

9) Helps Inside Sales Representatives accomplish team goals.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* Medical experience and respiratory knowledge helpful

* Prior computer experience

* Ability to multi-task

* Goal and detail oriented

* Self-motivated

* Ability to obtain a Missouri pharmacy technician license required.
