As a Human Resources Specialist, you will perform the full range of recruitment and placement services for GSA organizations. This position is located in the Office of Human Resources Management, Kansas City, Missouri.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Key responsibilities of the Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement), GS-0201-12, position entail:

* Identifying and recommending courses of action to managers and supervisors concerning recruitment and placement methods used to identify, attract, select, and retain a high-quality and diverse workforce.

* Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with program officials in order to provide sound guidance concerning recruitment and placement activities and issues.

* Performing the full range of staffing activities for assigned organizations, including the development of evaluation criteria (job analyses and rating tools), and evaluation of applicant qualifications.

* Preparing and delivering training to management officials and employees on relevant HR topics.

* Ensuring placement actions are efficiently processed and in full compliance with federal hiring regulations and any negotiated agreements.

* Corresponding with applicants, managers, and supervisors on a variety of complex HR topics, including applicant eligibility requirements, recruitment/ placement strategies/recommendations, and selection procedures.

* Utilizing a variety of HR automated systems to process HR actions and vacancy announcements; assist customers in the use of these systems.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $73,840 per year.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

To qualify, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11 level or higher of the federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Independently analyzing the personnel needs of an organization, and providing a wide range of staffing, recruitment, and placement guidance and support to the supervisors, managers and employees of an organization. Such experience must demonstrate application of merit system principles/procedures, staffing regulations, appointment authorities, recruiting for a diverse workforce, determining qualification requirements, and reviewing application packages to determine if specified requirements are met.
