Overview

The HR Generalist is responsible for implementing human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.

* Administer policies and procedures to be followed by facility personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

* Employee communications

* Employee Relations—including conducting confidential investigations

* Assure accurate preparation of reports related to human resource functions.

* Assist with the recruiting/hiring process to include tracking approved personnel requisitions, posting internal and external advertisements. Coordinates pre-employment screening, employment testing, interview schedules and onboarding.

* Coordinates employee & staff events, programs and communications. Includes but is not limited to health screenings, open enrollment, benefit programs, employee rewards & recognition, retirement ceremonies, etc.

* Coordinates employee leave programs such as ML, FMLA, STD, LTD and leave of absence.

* Coordinates and administers personnel records management to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.

* Assist with public relations activities in the Community.

* Support three locations within KCK and KCMO

* Flexible for 24/7 shifts

Qualifications

Required Skills:

* Analytical ability to prioritize work and move from task to task in a fast-paced environment.

* High degree of organization, deadline focus, self-motivation and accountability.

* Ability to deal with difficult and confidential situations and maintain a positive attitude.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer.

* Associates/Bachelors degree in HR preferred.

* A minimum of three years of HR Generalist experiences; industrial/manufacturing environment preferred

* Previous experience working with confidential information (HIPAA, PMI, Records, etc).

* Records Management Process Management & Compliance.

* Procedure and/or Program Management design.
