National Account Manager - North East

The National Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic customer accounts at a national level, maximizing all opportunities for sales within the accounts. Accounts will include but not limited to Apartment, Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial, and Retail local, regional and national management companies in the business of building or renovating those products. The National Account Manager will also will be responsible for building the account base of ownership groups, general contractors, and subcontractors in those market segments that could potentially create sales for materials, renovations opportunities, new construction opportunities, or manufactured wood products sales opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Managing large company accounts for the company and building relationships with key personnel.

* Networking within national accounts to secure all business opportunities.

* Ensuring internal company functions give the highest level of customer service to national accounts.

* Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs

* Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success

* Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients' requirements are met

* Identify and attract prospective strategic customers

* Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled effectively.

* Holding regular monthly meetings with internal stakeholders about key accounts.

* Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by national accounts.

* Taking a proactive approach to account management.

* Arranging meetings with all relevant decision makers within the customer.

* Holding business reviews to assess opportunities for sales.

* Ensure brand consistency

* Negotiate contracts

* Collect and analyze sales data and trends

* Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards

* Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new products

* Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales

Required Skills & Experience

* Proven work experience as a National account manager

* Solid experience in sales and customer service

* Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting client's requirements

* In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics

* Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel

* Excellent analytical and organizational skills

* Strong communication skills

* Ability to lead and motivate team members

* Previous experience managing national accounts for a similar company.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business within large accounts.

* A full driving license is essential for the position.

* Proven track record of working to KPI's and achieving targets

* Availability to travel as needed up to 60% regionally & nationally

* Able to understand Construction Documents

* Needs to take pride in their work

* Proficiency in organizing and attention to detail

* The ability to follow a schedule and meet deadlines

* Solid work ethic
