Note: job will be required to work flex-schedules, 1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift and work weekends; possible expansion and oversight to other local sites in the future.

Job Description:

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and provides hands-on maintenance support in a variety of roles for the production and distribution functions of the warehouse distribution center, 500K sq.ft.

Responsibilities: Provide maintenance support as directed and needed for warehouse distribution, 7/24 environment. Deliver on maintenance program, strategies, prioritize work and pro-active maintenance, emphasis on OSHA compliance and safety. Ability to repair and maintain electrical, gas, plumbing, water and trouble shoot and repair a variety of warehouse equipment.

The individual performing this job function is empowered with adequate authority to exercise the required duties and responsibilities of the position to insure that all work performed meets or exceeds Legacy standards for safety, quality and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Abides by all OSHA and organizational safety practices

* Lock-out / Tag-out procedures

* Be certified on all powered industrial equipment (PIE), boom lifts and scissor lifts

* Communicates with vendors by telephone and e-mail

* Ability to read and understand drawings, blue prints, use MS Office suite

* Creates and processes reports using spreadsheet, database, word processing and other software programs.

* Performs PIE maintenance and monitors hour meters

* Assist in outside vendor maintenance for PIE

* Repair hytrol converyor systems, repair packaging equipment

* Repair and replace storage racking

* Operate floor scrubber/sweeper

* Complete maintenance work orders and parts request forms

* Install safety items throughout the warehouse

* Peform minor repairs to powered industrial equipment (PIT)

* Perform repairs on all electrical equipment from 24VDC to 480VAC

* Any other duties as may be assigned

Education and/or Experience:

* 2+ years experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent

Skills:

* Proven success in maintaining quality, service and client relationships in a high-paced setting.

* Ability to structure action plans

* Proven success using written plans to guide activities

* Project Management and strategic planning, identifying trends, creative thinking, problem solving.

* Experience working in team oriented, multi-shift environment.

* Effective MS Excel, Word, MS Access and MS Outlook; WMS

* Experience with LEAN/Six Sigma, project leadership and team building is preferred.

* Familiar with WMS (i.e. Manhattan SCALE is a plus)

Physical Demands:

May required some lifting, (i.e. up to 50lbs) general warehouse operations

Work Environment:

Ability to flex work schedule, work overtime

Site currently runs 3 shifts, 6-days/week, 7/24, weekends
