Summary of Work

Working in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Clinical Director, the Addiction Counselor III will perform a broad range of professional work related to addiction and behavioral health programming at South Central Human Service Center. The Addiction Counselor III position will be essential in the following efforts:

* Provide feedback and input to the Clinical Director on performance evaluations of behavioral health staff;

* Provide consultation and advice to staff and community partners;

* Public education;

* Problem and/or conflict resolution;

* Cooperatively evaluate information to determine compliance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures;

* Provision of direct treatment services to behavioral health clients;

* Think creatively in helping to shape and support a recovery management system of care, in addition to other innovative treatment applications, ideas and relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a current licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners (NDBACE) and three years of Licensed Addiction Counseling experience. Also requires certification as a Clinical Supervisor by the NDBACE. A master's degree may substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
