The incumbent will provide support to the Mill with the best IT solutions that are available to meet the Mill’s expanding needs – including PC’s, Laptops, RF equipment and all networking solutions. Under the direction of the Process Controls Engineer, the successful candidate must exercise discretion and independent judgment in prioritizing work. Results are reviewed through mill key performance metrics for safety, quality, cost and productivity.
How you will impact WestRock:
Maintaining the mill’s IT needs on a 24/7/365 basis – including both the hardware and software.Working with Corporate to receive approval or have an approved variance on project needs.Working closely with employees and management as well as outside vendors, suppliers, division and Corporate personnel. Dedication to our users as well as communication and a commitment to cost savings are keys factors that must be considered to accomplish the job.Executing special projects and assignments as needed
Problem Resolution - Hardware/Software, Network (wiring), User etc.Mill Projects - Review IT involvement, work with Engineers/VendorsLAN Tasks - Logs, File Permission, Printers, backups, support tools, etc.Inventory/Procurement - Updates, Rollovers, shipment of old equipment, etc.Administrative tasks - Meetings, paperwork, e-mail to update users, etc.Mill Web Site Update - update and change sections of Mill Web PageCorporate/Division time - Requests, follow-ups, gather information, etc.Assists in troubleshooting and resolving issues on a daily basis including identification & execution of long-term corrective actions.
What you need to succeed:
The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be willing to work in a heavy manufacturing/industrial environment.Motivated, focused and process driven individual seeking a career.Strong planning, organizational, time management and prioritization skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of PI (Process Information System) utilization or equivalent process database - preferred
Knowledge of JDE or equivalent CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) - preferred
