Summary Job Description:

The Assistant Branch Manager assists with planning, providing direction to employees, conducting performance appraisals and organizing the sales and daily operations activities of the assigned branch. This includes, but is not limited to: development of new business, servicing existing accounts, performing teller work, customer relations, coaching and instruction in sales development.

Assists with recruiting, hiring, assignment of jobs and setting goals for employees. Conducts performance appraisals, counsels, disciplines, and terminates employees, or makes recommendations on these issues.

The applicant represents the bank in business development efforts, and at civic and community functions. The applicant should be service-oriented, professional, friendly, and enjoy our fast-paced atmosphere.

May be required to work weekend and/or extended hours. Regular, reliable attendance is crucial to our success.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise others
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise correspondence
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Desired Skills/Assets:

  • A college degree is preferred, but not required
  • Three or more years of banking experience or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory/management experience preferred

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
