The Product Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the overall strategyfor the Product Franchise in order to achieve global financial and businessgoals.

A Day in the Life

* Develop, implement, and execute marketing strategies to launch new products, effective product placement, increase market share, forecasting, improve margins and increase overall sales within the market

* Analyze technical design and cost information to determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.

* Consults with country marketing and sales teams, introducing new product features and capabilities and coordinating sales and related activities such as advertising, public relations, and strategies to achieve product marketing objectives. Includes new product launch responsibilities.

* Collaborate with R & D engineering department, quality control and marketing operations group for the launch of new products.

* Obtains market intelligence for pricing analysis, product positioning and product enhancements

* Develop and execute strategic product launch plans and set 3-5 year growth targets

* Develop and execute global product marketing plans required to continue to build and expand the stent business, and support product and program launches

* Participate in cross functional teams to ensure collaboration, alignment and full integration of all disciplines required to support successful plan execution and achievement of results

* Foster positive relationships with key opinion leaders, industry luminaries, and other partners to support therapy acceptance, therapy expansion, and safe and effective us of Medtronic Neurovascular products.

* Travel up to 40%

General responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

* Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line.

* Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience.

* Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.

* Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.

* Works with other functions to finalize product specifications.

* Provides advertising with core brand equity.

* Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field

* 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years relevant experience

* 3+ years of commercial experience; preferably with both upstream and downstream medical device marketing experience

Nice to Have

* Master's degree/MBA in Business, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred.

* Proven ability to work in, and motivate cross-functional teams

* Upstream and downstream medical device marketing experience

* Experience in International Marketing with demonstrated success in understanding and interpreting cultural differences.

* Strongknowledge of the global healthcare market

* Experiencedeveloping and successfully executing marketing plans

* Abilityto influence others without direct report

* Strategicand analytical thinker

* Ability to quickly develop relationshipsand rapport with individuals at all levels and from all cultures.

* Experiencein strategic product development planning

* Experiencedeveloping brand strategy and tactics to grow volume and market share

* Ability to clearly communicate marketingstrategy and tactical plans to applicable field teams

* Demonstrated success in developingrelationships with colleagues, customers and industry KOLs

* Strongorganizational skills. Ability toprioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment.

* Abilityto manage multiple products / projects

* Skillsin financial analysis, and forecasting

* Excellentinterpersonal, selling, communication and presentation skills

* Strong computer skills, includingword-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and the effective use of presentationsoftware

* Independence,energy, and positive attitude

* Ability to adapt and change withindynamic corporate and business environment
