Manager, Tax (Data, Analytics and Technology)

This role involves all aspects of the International Tax department's duties with a focus on data management and analytics. The role will be actively involved with US International Tax compliance, quarterly and annual tax accounting, forecasting and planning. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, International Tax. The Associate Manager will be very involved with both strategic planning for the Company, as well as detailed analysis as needed. The position will serve as a back-up administrator for the tax accounting software application. The position will "own" the data management and analytics for the International Tax group.

Responsibilities:

* Tax Planning:

* Partner with FP&A for effective tax rate models for monthly forecast, annual and strategic plan periods

* Provide international tax inputs, reserve calculations and gathering manufacturing source data

* Complete other modeling and tax research on special tax projects as required

* Tax Accounting, utilizing Hyperion Tax Provision ("HTP") software application:

* Serve as super-user and back-up HTP administrator,

* Reconcile income tax accounts for select subsidiaries and mini-consolidation of international affiliates, including incorporation into HTP

* Ensure tax-relevant data is imported and maintained properly in the HTP application and in other business intelligence applications

* Prepare quarterly ETR file, including walks and reconciliations

* Prepare quarterly uncertain tax positions file

* Tax Return Compliance, utilizing OneSource compliance software where possible:

* Complete data analysis used to prepare Forms 5471 including importation of financial data, calculation of earnings and profits adjustments, analysis of tax pools and determination of subpart F

* Complete data analysis used to prepare Form 1118, including sourcing and apportionment workpapers

* Training: Partner to prepare and provide training as needed in tax return compliance and tax accounting and data management

* Tax Authority Examinations: collaborate as necessary on US and international tax examinations

* Other tax duties as assigned

Annual travel requirement: 2% international (may travel once per year)

Requirements:

* Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required; Master of Science in Taxation ("MST") or MBA preferred

* 8 to 10 years of related experience (required) to include corporate tax, international tax compliance (Forms 5471 and 1118), and income tax accounting

* Familiarity with transfer pricing rules and tax audit trends

* Knowledge of OneSource, HFM, JDE, Alteryx, Tableau software experience a plus

* Innovative use of IT tools and ability to learn and master new technology and to work with high volumes of data

* Project management experience a plus

* Involvement in a global enterprise project and active participation in the design and implementation phases

* Strong understanding of key financial models and metrics to ensure that ERP systems met internal and external reporting requirements

* Solid understanding of multi-currency general ledger, data modeling concepts both relational and dimensional, extract, transform, load (ETL) processes and reporting systems
