Position Overview

The Product Director, Refresh is responsible for leading the development and overseeing the tactical execution of all U.S. marketing initiatives for the $200M REFRESH®.Artificial Tears Franchise. This role's key responsibilities are to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that contribute strong growth to the business and drive category leadership. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, field sales and customers, this person guides product positioning, key messaging and brand strategies to drive overall growth. This person will develop and manage various marketing programs (including digital, ecommerce, CRM, professional and consumer) for the franchise and will lead product launches and packaging initiatives.

Areas of Responsibilities

* Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan for the REFRESH artificial tears brand.

* Identifies opportunities for growth through market analysis of the artificial tear market and provide solutions to drive growth of Refresh.

* Leads all consumer marketing and customer service programs

* Helps guide R&D for new product development.

* Develops and executes plans for new product launches.

* Responsible for all product analytics; performance, forecasting and budget management.

* Works closely with the Trade Sales team to develop and execute retail programs through Food, Drug, Mass, Club and online channels

* Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive strategy

* Responsible for the promotional budget and develops metrics to ensure success of promotional programs

* Provides guidance and works closely with primary and secondary market research analytics to identify and track market trends and opportunities.

* Manages day to day operations with agencies, vendors and external brand partners

* Must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Allergan internal requirements and with all applicable regulatory requirements. Allergan internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives.

Requirements

The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

* At least 7 years Product Management experience in Consumer Package Goods (CPG) or Health and Beauty Care (HBC).

* Experience in sales through Food, Drug, Mass and Club channels

* Health care industry experience with established track record in managing industry-based marketing functions.

* Highly desired: Experience marketing to health care providers

* Highly desired: DTC experience

* Experience Launching Over the Counter (OTC) products in the consumer health space

Education

* Undergraduate degree within a relevant course of study, a graduate degree strongly preferred
