Position Description

Position Overview:

The CFO/Treasurer will provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team, establish/develop relations with the Board of Directors and Operating Management of portfolio companies. The CFO/Treasurer will be the principal financial communicator with the Board working on behalf of Operating Management.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function.
  • Develop and advise on shared services provided to multiple businesses in the corporate structure, including billing strategies for services rendered.
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports that will assist the president, the board and other senior managers in managing their responsibilities.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, e.g., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers, restructuring activities and various other corporate realignment/transitions.
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes 13 week Cash Flow Forecast, borrowing base forecasts, and related borrowing needs, and administer capital expenditure management/approval processes.
  • Advise Board of Directors and Senior Leaders on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning.
  • Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury/finance activities.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible finance leadership and treasury experience for multiple location company.
  • BA or BS in finance or accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of banking account structures, legal entity management, credit agreements, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience working with private equity.
  • This position can be located in Irvine, CA or Santa Fe Springs, CA

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, see talk and hear. The employee will frequently lift and/or carry reports, records and other materials that typically weigh up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend or crouch.
  • Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator, telephone and other standard office equipment/tools.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
